Venue confirmed!

Apologies for the belated message regarding all things Fever Chart. However, the absence of recent posts does not mean that there are no new things to report!

Recent successes include securing £600 from the theatre department and getting passed the first round of applications for the Lord Rootes Fund. With an interview penciled in for next week (post reading week), whether we are receivers of the much needed £2,000 grant from Lord Rootes, will have to be revealed at a later date.

In the meantime, other exciting news has been confirmation of our venue in Edinburgh – Spaces on the Mile! Thanks to our very kind venue manager, Charlie, we will be performing at our chosen time of day (3-4pm) during the full two week run. Luckily, this gives us the perfect balance of daily advertising, show time and a relaxing evening. None of this chronic-fatigue festival nonsense!

Finally, we have also been in contact with Warwick’s Friends of Palestine, Jewish-Israeli and Iranian societies to organize our ‘cultural exchange’ events. We have already set dates for two events to take place this term and gathered together ideas for the food, music and films to present to the masses (well, as many people as Facebook invitations can muster). What’s more, we have got in touch with Warwick film society to help us with our film night which has also yielded some nice enthusiasm.
